Falcons add depth with Brian Hill at 156th overall
The Atlanta Falcons selected Wyoming running back Brian Hill with the 156th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Hill is a thick back, standing 6'1", 219 pounds, He earned first-team All-Mountain West in 2016. An above-average athlete for his size, Hill has 4.54 speed and an explosive 10'5" broad jump. In Atlanta, Hill slots in as the Falcons' third back solidly behind Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman. He's a Dynasty depth stash only at the moment for fantasy purposes.
Hill re-wrote the Wyoming record books in only three seasons, racking up 4,287 rushing yards (averaging 5.53 yards per carry) and 35 touchdowns. He didn’t commit a single fumble on 357 touches in his career. Hill’s main drawback is his shortage of receiving production (eight receptions in 2016).
