Jets use 150th overall pick on Jordan Leggett
The New York Jets selected Clemson tight end Jordan Leggett with the 150th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Leggett (6'6", 258 pounds) made 38 starts for the Tigers and earned first-team All-ACC as both a junior and senior. A solid college receiving tight end whose NFL transition is questionable, Leggett was a poor run blocker on tape and has zero special teams experience. He was allegedly nicknamed "Lazy Leggett" at Clemson for poor work habits. At his Pro Day, Leggett ran 4.71 with passable 33" vertical and 9'11" jump numbers.
Leggett tallied a 1,598 receiving yards on 112 catches (14.3 yards per reception) and 18 touchdowns. According to Pro Football Focus, he had nine drops among 109 catchable targets over his final three years. The Jets need a tight end presence, with the ever-in-trouble Austin Seferian-Jenkins suspended once again.
