The New York Jets selected California wide receiver Chad Hansen with the 141st overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Hansen -- 6'2", 202 pounds -- spent two years at Cal after transferring from Idaho State. While Hansen’s final-year production was prolific, he showed just average athleticism at the Combine, posting a 4.53 40-yard dash and a 35-inch vertical. A similar talent to Chris Hogan, Hansen plays with physicality and catches everything. His best NFL fit may ultimately be as a big slot receiver.
Hansen broke out for a 1,249 receiving yards on 92 catches (13.5 yards per reception) with 11 touchdowns as a redshirt junior. Pro Football Focus charted Hansen as securing 17-of-17 catchable deep targets in 2016. There's a chance he's Quincy Enunwa's future replacement.
