49ers move up to draft Joe Williams at 121
The San Francisco 49ers traded up to select Utah running back Joe Williams with the number 121 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Williams has game-changing speed but he bounced around colleges after he was kicked off of UConn. He spent two years at ASA College before finishing his career at Utah and will enter his rookie season as a 24-year-old. Williams doesn't have much upside in the passing game so his value to the Niners depends on his 4.41 40-yard dash speed.
In two seasons at Utah, Williams rushed for 1,884 yards on 314 carries (6.04 yards per carry) with 13 touchdowns.
