The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Wisconsin linebacker T.J. Watt with the 30th overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
The Badgers converted Watt from a tight end to an outside linebacker and the junior broke out last season for Wisconsin as a second-team All-American linebacker. He has some nice athleticism and his measurables are impressive. Watt has good upside and could develop into a starter for the Steelers' defense at some point in his rookie season.
As a junior in 2016, Watt recorded 15.5 tackles for loss, including an impressive 11.5 sacks and a pick-six. He added two forced fumbles in 14 games last season.
