Atlanta trades up for Takk McKinley at 26
The Atlanta Falcons selected UCLA linebacker Takkarist McKinley with the 26th pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Atlanta traded up with the Seattle Seahawks for the pick, giving up the 31st, 95th and 249th picks in exchange for number-26. McKinley was a JUCO transfer and punctuated his college career with a first-team All-Pac 12 nomination. He measured well at the combine, with a 4.64 40-yard dash and a 10'2" broad jump.
McKinley racked up 61 total tackles (50 solo) with 18 tackles for a loss, 10.0 sacks and 6 pass defenses as a senior in 2016.
