Giants select Evan Engram with the 23rd pick
The New York Giants selected Ole Miss tight end Evan Engram with the 23rd pick of the 2017 NFL draft.
Engram started all four years for Ole Miss, culminating in first-team All-SEC honors as a senior. He posted a blazing 4.42 40-yard dash and 6.92 three-cone at the combine, and with sub-par blocking, he projects to be used as more of a big wide receiver than as a traditional tight end. This may not bode well for Sterling Shepard's fantasy outlook.
Engram caught 65 passes for 926 yards and 8 touchdowns in his senior season.
