Bears move up to make Mitchell Trubisky the second overall pick
The Chicago Bears traded up with the San Francisco 49ers to select North Carolina quarterback Mitchell Trubisky with the second overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
An absolute stunner. While rumors abounded the Clevland Browns fell in love with Trubisky, apparently the Bears did too. They sent a third-round and fourth-round pick in this year's draft along with a 2018 third-rounder to move up one spot and select the quarterback. Trubisky will likely sit most of the year as the Bears spent big money signing Mike Glennon to be their starting QB in 2017.
Trubisky started just 13 games in his college career, passing for 4,762 yards and 41 touchdowns while throwing just 10 interceptions in three seasons. He was one of the most accurate college passers in 2016, completing 68.0 percent of his 447 pass attempts.
