The Atlanta Falcons re-signed wide receiver Taylor Gabriel to a one-year, $2.81 million contract.
He had been a restricted free agent. Cut by the Cleveland Browns at the end of training camp last summer, Gabriel resurfaced as a big-play threat in Atlanta with seven touchdowns on only 39 touches. The 26-year-old should again be a key cog in the Falcons high-octane offense.
92 wide receivers saw at least 50 targets in 2016, and Gabriel's 1.03 Reception Net Expected Points per target were the most among those receivers.
