Eagles believe Alshon Jeffery will benefit other receivers

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson thinks newly-signed wide receiver Alshon Jeffery's presence will help the other receivers.

What It Means:

"For us, he brings some leadership into that room, and makes that room better," Pederson said. "The experience is obviously a big factor in what we're doing, and he can lead by example." It sounds like the Eagles believe Jeffery's presence in the locker room will be a positive for Nelson Agholor and Dorial Green-Beckham, who are both starting their age-24 campaigns in 2017. On the field, Jeffery should also take pressure off Jordan Matthews and fellow free agent acquisition Torrey Smith. Philadelphia's receiving corps projects to be much improved next season, but that might not bode well for individual fantasy production.

Jeffery ranked 19th in Reception Net Expected Points per target among the 60 receivers to see at least 80 targets last season.
