New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said he has "an exact vision" of how to use newly-signed wide receiver Ted Ginn.
"I seem him playing at flanker, I see him being a guy that can take the top off the coverage. I like what this guy does," Payton said. "He’s still, when he’s playing in each game, the fastest player on the field." Ginn is essentially a homeless man's version of departed wide receiver Brandin Cooks, but he's not going to be as heavily involved in the Saints' offense. Even in a more prolific offense in New Orleans, Ginn remains the same boom-or-bust fantasy proposition that he was as a member of the Carolina Panthers.
Ginn came in 47th in Reception Net Expected Points per target among the 68 wide receivers to see 75 targets or more in 2016.
