Bradley McDougald signs with Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks signed defensive back Bradley McDougald, formerly of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, to a one-year contract.

What It Means:

McDougald also visited with the Cleveland Browns, where he likely would have been a starter, but wound up signing with the Seahawks as the third safety on the roster behind Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor. Still just 26, McDougald showed some promise as a 16-game starter last season in Tampa Bay.

The Seahawks' secondary ranked 15th last season in opponent-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play.
