Kamar Aiken will have shot at Colts' third receiver gig

Indianapolis Colts newly signed wide receiver Kamar Aiken said during a Wednesday conference call, that general manager Chris Ballard told him he'll be given an opportunity to win the team's third receiver job.

What It Means:

Aiken will be competing with Phillip Dorsett for the job, but he hasn't done much of anything since Indianapolis' former regime selected him in the first round of the 2015 draft. Ballard won't have any problem giving the nod to Aiken, who led the Baltimore Ravens in catches (75), receiving yards (944) and touchdowns (5) just two seasons ago.

Among the 25 wide receivers to see between 50 and 75 targets last season, Dorsett's 0.74 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target were fourth-most while Aiken came in 19th with 0.57 Reception NEP per target.
