Falcons' Dontari Poe turned down more money from Jaguars
Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Dontari Poe turned down more money from the Jacksonville Jaguars, ESPN's Josina Anderson reports.
Poe is getting $8 million from the Falcons, but the Jaguars reportedly offered $9 million guaranteed, plus incentives. Atlanta is a better fit for Poe anyway, with a less-crowded line and all-around superior team.
The Falcons finished last season ranked 25th in schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points allowed per play.
