The Baltimore Ravens signed defensive back Brandon Carr, formerly of the Dallas Cowboys, to a four-year contract.
Due to a "series of options" in the contract, it's more realistically a two-year, $12 million contract, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Carr was a solid starter in Dallas and will likely start opposite Jimmy Smith in the Ravens' secondary. He turns 31 in a couple months.
Baltimore was 12th in 2016 in terms of schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play.
