Rams hyping up sophomore tight end Tyler Higbee

Los Angeles Rams second-year tight end Tyler Higbee is someone head coach Sean McVay says he's "looking forward to getting on the grass with" this summer.

What It Means:

"He can stretch the seam; a nice catch radius," McVay said. "He's got a good feel and savvy in the pass game." Last week's release of Lance Kendricks puts Higbee firmly atop a depth chart that is expected to feature its tight ends early and often. He saw only 29 targets during last year's rookie campaign, but that number should soar in 2017.

Among the 46 tight ends to see at least 25 targets last season, Higbee finished last in Reception Net Expected Points per target. His 37.9 percent catch rate (11-of-29 targets) was also the only mark below 50.0 percent in that group.
