Lance Kendricks

Packers ink another tight end, signing Lance Kendricks

The Green Packers signed tight end Lance Kendricks, formerly of the Los Angeles Rams.

What It Means:

Kendricks joins Martellus Bennett in Green Bay, which oculd indicate that the Packers want to use more two-tight end sets in 2017. 29-year-old Kendricks isn't a standout talent in any area, but he is a capable blocker and short-area possession receiver. His addition pushes plodding Richard Rodgers to third string.

Out of the 17 tight ends to see 80 or more targets last season, Kendricks was only ahead of Dennis Pitta in Reception Net Expected Points per target.
