Ravens' Danny Woodhead has no concerns about ACL recovery
Baltimore Ravens running back Danny Woodhead thinks he will be the same player coming back from a torn ACL.
"I wasn't going to come back if I couldn't do what I can do," Woodhead said. "I wanted to be able to be the player that I've always been, that I've been the last two or three years. I believe I am." Perhaps he is right, but Woodhead is a 32-year-old coming off a significant knee injury. With Kenneth Dixon suspended the first four games, Woodhead will get every opportunity to show he still has it, but it will not be surprising if he has lost half a step.
Woodhead saw just 19 rushes and 8 targets before succumbing to the injury in 2016, but generated 0.18 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per attempt and 0.35 Reception NEP per target on them.
