Browns are not getting Patriots' Jimmy Garoppolo
The Cleveland Browns won't be acquiring New England Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo no matter what they put on the table, ESPN's Adam Schefter said while appearing on 97.1 in Columbus, Ohio.
What It Means:
The Browns have plenty of draft picks to present an appealing offer, but it takes two to tango. Schefter believes the Patriots simply want to hold onto Tom Brady's backup, rather than see what they can get for him.
If Garoppolo had qualified, his 0.44 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back would have ranked first among all quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs in 2016.
