Jaguars land A.J. Bouye with 5-year, $67.5 million contract
The Jacksonville Jaguars signed CB A.J. Bouye, formerly of the Houston Texans, to a five-year, $67.5 million contract.
Bouye vaulted up to the top of the Texans' depth chart last summer after opening the year as the fourth man. At least on paper, the Jaguars are absolutely loaded with talent on the defensive side of the ball.
Bouye deflected a career-high 16 passes last season and emerged as one of the league's best corners, helping the Texans finish sixth in opponent-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play.
