Jaguars emerging as favorite for A.J. Bouye
The Jacksonville Jaguars are "closing in" on a deal to land free agent defensive back A.J. Bouye, formerly of the Houston Texans, reports NFL Network.
Barring any snafus, Bouye will remain in the AFC South, albeit with a different team than the one he was originally expected to stick with. The Tennessee Titans also supposedly put forth a strong effort for Bouye, but it seems the Jaguars' made an offer that couldn't be beat.
Bouye deflected a career-high 16 passes last season and emerged as one of the league's best corners, helping the Texans finish sixth in opponent-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play.
