Stephon Gilmore expected to sign with Patriots
The New England Patriots agreed to terms with defensive back Stephon Gilmore, formerly of the Buffalo Bills.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Gilmore's deal with the Patriots will "eclipse $14 million per year." It's an out-of-character move for New England, who typically don't shop towards the top of the market. Look for Logan Ryan to now sign elsewhere, and there have also been discussions about trading Malcolm Butler to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for Brandin Cooks.
The Patriots ranked 11th last season in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play.
