Trevor Siemian expendable for Broncos if they sign Tony Romo
The New York Jets could call the Denver Broncos about quarterback Trevor Siemian, should they sign Tony Romo, and USA Today's Tom Pelissero "would't be surprised".
Romo would make Siemian expendable, and likely available for a third- through fifth-round pick. The Jets whiffed on Brian Hoyer and appear to have lost out on free agent Mike Glennon. Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg round out the current quarterback depth chart in New York.
Siemian came in 26th in Passing Net Expected Points per drop back among the 39 quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs in 2016.
