Darrelle Revis

Darrelle Revis not wanted around league

One anonymous NFL general manager told the New York Daily News he wouldn't sign free agent defensive back Darrelle Revis for free.

What It Means:

"Have you seen his tape?" said the GM. "I wouldn't let him play for me for free." Added another front office executive, "Revis is done. You respect the body of work throughout his career, but all good things come to an end." Revis was dreadful for the New York Jets in 2016 and followed it up with an ugly arrest last month. It wouldn't be surprising if he remains unemployed throughout the offseason.

In no small part to Revis, the Jets' secondary ranked third-worst last season in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play.
