Dwayne Allen expected to return to Colts
The Indianapolis Colts are expected to retain tight end Dwayne Allen for 2017.
What It Means:
After the Colts re-signed Jack Doyle to a three-year deal on Tuesday, some speculated Allen's roster spot might not be secure. Doyle surpassed Allen as both a pass-catcher and inline blocker at tight end for the Colts last season, but his fantasy outlook will be capped with both players returning.
Among the 35 tight ends to see at least 40 targets last season, Allen averaged the most Reception Net Expected Points per target.
