Chargers part ways with Steve Johnson
The San Diego Chargers released wide receiver Stevie Johnson.
Johnson missed the entire 2016 campaign while recovering from meniscus surgery, so this move doesn't come as much of a surprise. He'll be 31 in July and has played in a total of 10 games over the past two seasons, so the market for his services likely won't be too robust.
Among the 67 wide receivers to see 65 or more targets in 2015, Johnson finished 36th in Reception Net Expected Points per target. He caught 45 passes for 497 yards and 3 touchdowns in 10 games that season.
