Jets not interested in Mike Glennon at $14 million a year
The New York Jets do not believe free agent quarterback Mike Glennon is worth $14 million per year, reports Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
The Bears are reportedly willing to meet that number, meaning Glennon probably won't be wearing a Jets jersey next season. The 27-year-old quarterback has thrown just 11 regular-season passes since 2014, so there's definitely plenty of risk in signing him to any sort of long-term deal or offering a lot of guaranteed money.
In 219 drop backs in 2014, Glennon earned 0.00 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back. The average Passing NEP per drop back that season was 0.10.
