Chase Daniel would be good option for Jets

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Chase Daniel would be the "best possible option" for the New York Jets, NJ Advance Media's Connor Hughes believes.

What It Means:

The Eagles have made Daniel available for trade with his $7 million salary hefty for a backup, and the Jets are looking for a veteran bridge quarterback as they embark on a rebuild. New Jets offensive coordinator John Morton figures to bring a West Coast offense to New York, similar to the one both Morton and Daniel cut their teeth on with the New Orleans Saints.

Daniel has just 84 career drop backs since 2009, accumulating a meager -0.76 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) over that span of time. He has a -0.01 Passing NEP per drop back and a 41.67 percent Passing Success Rate (the percent of drop backs creating positive NEP) for his career.
