Jared Cook

Packers being cautious about Jared Cook re-signing

The Green Bay Packers are being "frugal" in negotiations with impending free agent tight end Jared Cook, Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reports.

What It Means:

Green Bay will probably let the market set Cook's price. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers wants Cook back, but Cook is probably asking for a hefty raise after having a solid season when healthy. Cook turns 30 next month and relies heavily on his speed, which will likely disappear in the next couple years.

Among the 43 tight ends to see at least 30 targets in 2016, Cook's Reception Net Expected Points per target came in 31st.
