Colin Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick not a target for Browns this offseason

The Cleveland Browns will not pursue San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

What It Means:

Kaepernick is still officially a member of the 49ers, but he is expected to opt out of his contract tomorrow. Browns head coach Hue Jackson reportedly showed "heavy interest" in Kaep last spring, but the Browns are in position to search for the long-term answer rather than the short-term bridge this offseason.

Kaepernick's Passing Net Expected Points per drop back ranked 28th among the 39 quarterbacks to drop back 100 times last season.
