A.J. Bouye unlikely to receive franchise tag from Texans
The Houston Texans are not expected to use the franchise tag on free agent defensive back A.J. Bouye, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Nothing seems to have changed since the Houston Chronicle's Aaron Wilson reported the same thing two weeks ago. Bouye doesn't turn 26 until August and is widely viewed as the best free agent corner available. He's about to make some serious dollars.
The Texans came in sixth in opponent-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points allowed per play in 2016.
