The Buffalo Bills will not use the franchise tag on free agent defensive back Stephon Gilmore, reports The Buffalo News.
The tag would cost the Bills about $15 million, but perhaps the two sides are working towards a long-term deal. Gilmore is reportedly seeking to be paid as a "top-five" cornerback.
The Bills only finished 20th in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play last season, but Gilmore was easily one of the strongest pieces in that unit.
