Colin Kaepernick has positive meeting with 49ers' brass

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick had a "really positive" meeting with the 49ers on Wednesday.

What It Means:

49ers general manager John Lynch said his evaluation of Kaepernick is "still very much fluid." Kaepernick recently sold his house in San Jose and has been staying in New York. Due $16.9 million in 2017, it remains unlikely Kaepernick is back at his current salary, but it's possible the 49ers release him and sign a more affordable deal.

Kaepernick's Passing Net Expected Points per drop back ranked 28th among the 39 quarterbacks to drop back 100 times last season.
