Jets may have some interest in Chicago's Jay Cutler
The New York Jets have some interest in pursuing Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler if the Bears release him, per Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports.
The Bears have reportedly been trying to shop Cutler in exchange for draft picks, but if they can't get a deal done, then Cutler will likely be released. It sounds like the Jets will have plenty of competition in trying to acquire Cutler, as La Canfora has also mentioned the Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars all as potential landing spots for the 33-year-old.
Among the 39 quarterbacks to top 100 drop backs last season, Cutler's Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back ranked fourth-worst.
