Connor Barwin has options if Eagles cut him

Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Connor Barwin will have plenty of suitors if the Eagles cut or trade him this offseason, Mark Eckel of NJ Advanced Media believes.

What It Means:

Following years of success as a 3-4 outside linebacker, Barwin struggled as a defensive end in Jim Schwartz's 4-3 scheme last season. Barwin is due $7.75 million in 2017 and has already said he'd be willing to take a pay cut to stay in Philly. The Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens are 3-4 teams that could be interested in Barwin.

Despite Barwin's personal struggles, the Eagles defense finished fifth in the NFL this past season in opponent-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points allowed per play.
