Jets able to void Darrelle Revis' contract if he faces league discipline
The New York Jets are able to void defensive back Darrelle Revis' deal if he's suspended or fined for conduct detrimental to the team or for violating the league's personal conduct policy, according to Bleacher Report's Jason Cole.
The Jets weren't expected to bring Revis back at his $13 million salary next season, so this probably seals the deal on his career with the team. They would be able to get back all of Revis' salary if he's suspended or fined, including the $6 million in guarantees for 2017. March 11 is the deadline for a decision to be made.
The Jets' secondary ranked third-worst in 2016 in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play.
