Tony Romo

Tony Romo looked good in Cowboys' late-season practices

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo played "like 2014 Romo" in late-season practices, strong safety Barry Church told a Dallas radio station.

What It Means:

Romo also looked good as new in his Week 17 spot appearance, completing 3-of-4 throws for 29 yards and a touchdown against the Eagles. Romo broke a bone in his back last preseason, then resumed practicing in early November. "He looked great back there," Church said. "He was dropping some dimes, some serious dimes against the number one defense. We went against him on 7-on-7 drills."

The question remains how good Romo will be in what will be his age-37 campaign. In 2015, the veteran quarterback tossed -0.04 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back on 127 drop backs, but generated 0.16 Passing NEP per drop back on 684 such plays in 2014.
