Browns are smitten with Buffalo's Tyrod Taylor
The Cleveland Browns new quarterbacks coach David Lee likes Buffalo Bills signal-caller Tyrod Taylor "a lot" after the two worked together in Buffalo the past two seasons, per Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
If Taylor were to wind up in Cleveland, Lee "would welcome continuing to work with him," Cabot said. Head coach Hue Jackson reportedly wants a veteran quarterback for 2017, and Taylor fits the bill. The Browns have $105 million in cap space and five of the top-65 draft picks, so they are in great position to make a move.
Among the 39 quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs this past season, Taylor's 0.12 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back ranked 19th. As a team, the Browns finished 26th in Adjusted Passing NEP per play.
