Ravens won't transform into run-dominant offense

The Baltimore Ravens offense is not going to be "ground and pound," said new senior offensive assistant and tight ends coach Greg Roman.

What It Means:

"I think you have to have balance. But that doesn’t mean we’re not going to make people respect us in that phase of the game," Roman explained. Kenneth Dixon is expected to lead Baltimore's backfield in 2017, but Joe Flacco and his arm will remain the focal point of the offense.

The Ravens finished the season ranked 27th in Adjusted Offensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play. They were also 27th in Adjusted Passing NEP per play, but wound up doing a little better on the ground, coming in 20th in Adjusted Rushing NEP per play.
