Rashad Jennings cut by Giants
The New York Giants released running back Rashad Jennings.
Jennings' release creates $2.5 million in cap space for the Giants. He averaged 3.27 yards per carry this year and will be 32 by the start of next season, meaning there likely won't be too much guaranteed money for Jennings on the open market. Expect to see him land a short-term deal for a complimentary role somewhere.
Among the 54 running backs with at least 80 carries this past season, Jennings' Rushing Net Expected Points per carry was ninth-worst.
