Patriots may get ball rolling on Jimmy Garoppolo trade talks with Houston
The New England Patriots calling the Houston Texans about quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is an "obvious move," believes the Houston Chronicle.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has a good relationship with Houston head coach Bill O'Brien, but owner Bob McNair has indicated that the Texans will likely look for quarterback help via the draft, rather than signing a veteran free agent. Don't be surprised if a discussion takes place, but a deal between the two sides seems unlikely.
If Garoppolo had more drop backs, his 0.44 Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per drop back would have ranked first among quarterbacks this past season.
