The Seattle Seahawks may not re-sign kicker Steven Hauschka, according to the Seattle Times.
Hauschka’s chances of returning took a hit after Seattle signed Blair Walsh. Despite a down year, Hauschka should rebound if he can cut back on his extra point misses. Hauschka’s 89.2 field-goal percentage in 2016 ranked behind only Justin Tucker, Matt Bryant, and Ryan Succop.
On 37 field goal attempts this year, Hauschka earned 0.25 Net Expected Points (NEP) per attempt -- the 21st-best rate among 36 kickers to attempt a try this year. Walsh, on the other hand, generated -0.09 NEP per attempt -- the third-worst mark.
