Colts' Jack Doyle to test free agency

Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle will test free agency, the Indianapolis Star expects.

What It Means:

Doyle set career highs with a 584 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns on 59 catches last year. The Colts want to keep him, but he’s expendable with Erik Swoope emerging and Dwayne Allen signed through 2019. Doyle shouldn't struggle for interest in a shallow tight end market.

Among the 41 tight ends with at least 30 targets this year, Doyle's 0.57 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target was 26th. Allen was second-best with his 0.95 Reception NEP per target.
