Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey says the team has had "positive conversations" with free agent defensive back Eric Berry.
Berry has no intentions of playing under the franchise tag again in 2017, and the Chiefs insist they want to secure him for the long-term, so a deal seems likely prior to the start of free agency on March 9.
Berry matched his career-high with four interceptions this past season, helping the Chiefs finish fourth in the NFL in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play.
