Carson Palmer confirms he'll be back with Cardinals for 15th NFL season
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has confirmed he will return for a 15th NFL season in 2017.
Palmer took his to time to make it official, but there was never much doubt about him returning to Arizona for at least one more season. After an excellent 2015 campaign, Palmer's play regressed a bit this past season, but he showed some improvement down the stretch. Even with the 37-year-old veteran back under center, the Cardinals should identify their quarterback of the future via the draft.
Palmer let his age show at times this season but finished with 26 touchdown passes and 4,233 passing yards. His 0.11 Passing Net Expected Points per drop back ranked 21st out of the 39 quarterbacks to drop back at least 100 times in 2016.
