Steelers re-sign Xavier Grimble
The Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed tight end Xavier Grimble to a one-year, $540,000 contract.
The third-year player appeared in the first games of his career this past season, catching 11 balls for 118 yards and two touchdowns across 13 appearances, including two starts. Grimble will compete for a backup job this summer.
On 21 targets this season, Grimble averaged 0.47 Reception Net Expected Points per target this season, which ranked 43rd out of the 55 tight ends to see at least 20 targets on the year.
