Broncos' DeMarcus Ware could return to Cowboys
Denver Broncos outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware is "leaving the door open" for a return to the Dallas Cowboys, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Ware spent nine years in Denver before joining the Cowboys in 2014. The 34-year-old is coming off an injury-plagued 2016 campaign but expects to be fully recovered from back surgery in a couple of weeks. The Cowboys lacked an elite pass rusher this year and Ware would certainly provide a boost in that area. Returning to the Broncos is also a possibility for Ware, who was recently told by head coach Vance Joseph that he's part of the team's "equation" on defense.
Ware was part of a Broncos front-seven that led them to a league-leading -0.17 opponent-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play.
