Falcons' Julio Jones might need offseason surgery on toe
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones could require offseason surgery on his sprained toe, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Per Rapoport, Jones is dealing with torn ligaments and other symptoms related to turf toe. Jones has also been playing with a sprained ankle, but that won't require surgery. It would take "months" for Jones to recover from surgery, though it wouldn't jeopardize his status for the start of 2017. As we saw in the NFC Championship two weeks ago, Jones at less than 100 percent is still better than almost any receiver in football.
Our models believe Jones will catch 6 passes for 82 yards and 0.67 touchdowns against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI.
