Michael Floyd wants to re-sign with Patriots
New England Patriots wide receiver Michael Floyd hopes to re-sign.
"I hope to be back in Foxborough," Floyd said Thursday. "I love it here. I hope that I can make that happen, for sure." It's not exactly surprising, but free agents to be often adopt softer, more diplomatic tones. The feeling may not be mutual, as the Pats will receive a compensatory draft pick if they let Floyd walk. Floyd was a healthy scratch for the AFC Championship Game. Still only 27, the former first-rounder definitely still has upside.
Floyd's Reception Net Expected Points per target ranked 38th among the 68 wide receivers to see 75 or more targets in 2016.
