Martellus Bennett

Patriots list Martellus Bennett (knee), Chris Hogan (thigh) as questionable for Super Bowl

New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett (knee) and wide receiver Chris Hogan (thigh) are both listed as questionable for Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons.

What It Means:

Bennett has been playing through an ankle injury that will likely require surgery this offseason, and he also hurt his knee earlier in the postseason. Hogan has reportedly been hobbled for a few weeks, but it didn't show in the AFC Championship Game when he set a Patriots' postseason record with 180 receiving yards. Both players are expected to be in for their normal workloads on Sunday.

Bennett ranked seventh in Receiving Net Expected Points (Net Expected Points) per target this season out of the 35 tight ends with at least 40 targets. Among the 86 wide receivers with at least 55 targets, Hogan finished with the second-most Receiving NEP per target.
